Christmas Day lunch in Eastbourne costs £62.99 to £180 a head at nine hotels and pubs, from the Grand to Toby Carvery. 2026 prices, child rates, deposits.

For Christmas Day in Eastbourne, most people will be looking at the seafront hotels: the Langham (£115 a head), the Lansdowne (£110, or £75 for its carvery), the Hydro in Meads (£120) and the Grand, whose Princes Room charges £180. The lowest prices are at the chain pubs on the edge of town, from £62.99 at Hungry Horse on Willingdon Drove. Every entry was checked against the venue’s own site on 2 November 2026.

We have not eaten at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the price on the venue’s own 2026 Christmas page or menu, what it includes, and what it says about deposits and booking, plus its Food Standards Agency (FSA) hygiene rating. Prices are per person and exclude any service charge unless we say otherwise. Christmas Day 2026 is a Friday.

Some tables have already gone. The Grand’s Mirabelle Restaurant (£190 with Champagne and canapés) says it is fully booked, and so does the Pilot Inn on Meads Street, which still has its festive menu on in December. The Harveys pub the Lamb in Old Town is open for drinks only on Christmas Day, from 12pm to 2pm, with no food.

On 2 November the hotel said tables for fewer than four were fully booked, so only tables of four or more can still book; groups of ten or more are asked to phone.

How we chose

These are the places in and around Eastbourne that publish a Christmas Day 2026 price on their own website, checked on 2 November 2026. We read each venue’s Christmas page or menu PDF and took the hygiene ratings from the Food Standards Agency register. Nothing rated below 3 is included, and every venue here is rated 5. We left out hotels that only offer Christmas as a residential package, and pubs that have no Christmas Day menu online. Prices can change and tables sell out, so check with the venue before you go.
