The Saffrons fireworks in Eastbourne are on Friday 6 November 2026: gates 6pm, display 7.30pm. Advance tickets only, none sold on the gate. Prices, parking.
Eastbourne’s fireworks night on the ground is Friday 6 November 2026 at The Saffrons, the sports ground on Compton Place Road. Gates open at 6pm and the display starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are sold online in advance only: the club says that for safety reasons nothing will be sold on the gate.
The quick answer
- When: Friday 6 November 2026. Gates 6pm, fireworks 7.30pm.
- Where: The Saffrons Sports Club, Compton Place Road, Eastbourne BN21 1EA.
- Tickets: online, in advance, only. No gate sales on the night.
- Price: Visit Eastbourne lists £10 for adults, £5 for children and £25 for a family of four. The club’s own page does not give a price.
- Not the same night as the bonfire: Eastbourne Bonfire Society’s procession and beach fireworks are on Saturday 3 October.
What the club has confirmed
The Saffrons Sports Club, which runs the ground, sets out the night on its fixtures and events page. It calls it a “hugely popular family-friendly Fireworks Display” and gives three facts:
- Gates open at 6pm. The Gun Brewery Taproom is open, and there are street-food vendors.
- The display starts at 7.30pm.
- Entry is by ticket only, bought online in advance. “For safety reasons tickets will not be sold on the gate on the night.”
The club’s home page carries a “Fireworks display tickets” button that goes to its ticket seller, Online Ticket Seller.
Visit Eastbourne, the borough council’s tourism service, has the same night in its events listing for Friday 6 November, 6pm to 11pm. It adds that the display is set in the grounds of the 18-acre historic sports ground and that there will be fairground rides as well as the food and drink stands.
How much are tickets?
Visit Eastbourne’s listing gives these prices:
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Adult | £10.00 |
| Child | £5.00 |
| Family of four | £25.00 |
Two caveats. The same listing says “online/advance prices will be available to purchase soon”, and the club’s own page gives no price at all. The ticket seller’s page blocks automated reading, so we could not check the price at the point of sale or whether a booking fee is added. Treat the table as the listed price and check it when you book. We will update this page once the ticket page can be confirmed.
Do not turn up without a ticket. The club is explicit that there are no gate sales, so a family that arrives on the night hoping to pay at the entrance will be turned away.
Where is The Saffrons?
The ground is on Compton Place Road, BN21 1EA, just west of the town centre and behind the Town Hall. The club describes it as a multi-sport ground of 18 acres, established in 1886 and home to cricket, hockey and football in the town. It is run by a charitable trust, the Eastbourne Saffrons Sports Club Trust.
Getting there and parking
On foot or by train is the easy option. The Saffrons is within walking distance of Eastbourne station and the town centre, so there is no need to drive into the side streets around the ground.
If you drive, plan for the town-centre car parks rather than parking on the roads round the ground. Council car park charges in Eastbourne run from 8am to 8pm, but Devonshire Park, Hyde Gardens and Wish Tower charge until 10pm, so an evening at the fireworks will still be paid for there. Devonshire Park is £2.10 for two hours. The full tariffs, and the three free car parks, are on our parking in Eastbourne page.
Watch for the station-area roadworks. A closure order for the bus scheme around Eastbourne station covers Grove Road, Southfields Road and Hartfield Road, with works anticipated until February 2027, and the signed diversions run along Saffrons Road and Old Orchard Road, right next to the ground. Our Eastbourne roadworks and travel page has the detail and is updated as phases change.
Is there a bonfire?
Neither the club nor Visit Eastbourne mentions a bonfire. Both describe a fireworks display with food, drink and, in the tourism listing, fairground rides. If a bonfire is what you are after, the Eastbourne Bonfire Society’s night is on Saturday 3 October on the seafront, with two torchlit processions and a beach bonfire: see our Eastbourne Bonfire Night page.
